How quiet is the SDT Practice mute?
SDT mutes reduce volume enough for apartments, late‑night practice, and shared living spaces. The sound remains soft but musical.
Does it affect intonation?
SDT technology is engineered to maintain stable pitch across the full register, including high notes and soft playing.
Does it create back‑pressure?
Very little. SDT diffusers allow natural airflow, making the mute feel free‑blowing and comfortable even during long sessions.
Will the mute fit my instrument?
Our mutes fit standard bell sizes for each instrument. If your bell is unusually large or small, contact us and we’ll design a solution at no extra cost.
Is it safe for my instrument’s finish?
Yes — all contact points are non‑abrasive and instrument‑safe.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship worldwide from Australia. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
How long does shipping take?

Can I track my order?

What is your return policy?
If your mute arrives damaged or defective, we’ll replace it at no cost. For change‑of‑mind returns, items must be unused and in original condition. Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
Is there a warranty?
Yes — all Tech Tone Mutes include a 12‑month warranty covering manufacturing defects.
How do I clean my mute?
Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth using water or mild soapy water only. DO NOT use chemicals such as acetone or alcohol as these may damage the surface.
