No more corks with Tech Tone! You can't un-file a cork!
It's not until you experience how much a small change in the fitting of a mute can make to the sound and feel of the mute. A 1mm change to just 1 mount can make the difference from being stuffy and dull, to being open and resonant. Getting the right fit is similar to focusing a lens, you go past the point and work your way back to dial it in. You can't do that with a cork, because you can un-file it! Each 3-point mounted mute (Cup, Straight etc.) comes with 3 sets of 3D printed mute mounts. Our unique material is more hygienic than cork and is easy to keep clean. There is no need to lick the mounts either for a secure fit. Our mounts can easily be swapped out on your mute to provide the ideal position within the bell. This means you can have 1 mute which can be fitted easily into your other instruments simply by changing the mute mounts. Of course, custom mounts are also available. Fully sealed mutes, such as warm-up / practice mutes or Harmon style mutes are fitted with 3D printed seals which come with an adapter to fit larger bells. We can custom make these as well for your specialised instrument.
